Services:

Wireless Networks - I'll design, set up and secure your home or business wireless network. IMH

Wired Networks - I'll design a quick, compact and secure wired network for your home or business

New PC Setup - I'll help you transfer files / settings from your old computer; set up your new computer (including printers, scanners, digital cameras, music players).

 
Hardware / Software Installation - I'll install new / additional hard drives, video cards, CD or DVD players / recorders, applications or office suites, etc.

Repair - I'll identify and repair any faulty components (from motherboards, to power supplies or any other system component)

Spyware and Virus Removal and Remediation - I'll remove pesky spyware applications, Trojan horses and viruses (or is it virii?!). I'll install system utilities to help keep infections from recurring (may require additional software purchase).

Training - I'll show you how to use that new MP3 player or how to edit and print your digital pictures. I can create tailored training for everything from general computer usage to securing your network

Remote Assistance and Training - I can remotely administrate and configure your systems.

My Availability

I have built my Computer Consulting Service on the premise that many home and SOHO users are frustrated by the increasing pace of technical innovation and complexity. They are being bombarded by spam, viruses and spyware and don't know where to turn - many existing on-call services charge way too much for a house call to fix a problem that may only take 15 minutes or so.

My rates are among the most competitive in the area. As I work exclusively in the Virginia area, I do not charge for on-site visits. And as my hours are primarily in the evenings or weekends, I'm available when most home users are experiencing problems. In addition, my new Remote Assistance service allows me to keep rates way down while working quickly to solve many PC annoyances like spyware and software issues.

My Rates

Most on-site repairs will not exceed $50/HR, depending on time spent.
Training Packages start at $35 when scheduled for five or more visits.
Wireless and Wired network design, installation and hardening fees depend on number of PCs to be networked, but typically start at $120.
New PC Setup / Data Migration fees are competitive, depended on time. Travel fees are never assessed. Written estimates will be provided for each project.
Remote Assistance starts at $15 per incident when purchased in quantity.
